This purple-red, medium-sweet Saperavi offers aromas of blackberry jam and
wild raspberry. Those berries carry through to the palate, with the sweet and ripe
fruit flavors giving leaving a lingering finish of lively acidity alongside that
fruitiness.

Marani’s multiple-award-winning Saperavi is cultivated in the Kindzmarauli SVA
appellation, a small area in Kakheti, where the grape variety originates.
The Saperavi grapes are hand-picked at their optimum maturity before a
controlled fermentation process lasting 5-7 days, when it is chilled to retain the
natural sweetness and freshness of the wine.

This ancient grape variety, native to Georgia - and specifically Kakheti - is
characterized by the climate created by the nearby Caucasus Mountains. The
temperate daytime temperatures and cold nights create an ideal environment for
consistently high-quality wine production.
