Bedoba’s dark purple dry Saperavi opens with a powerful savoury-spicy combination of blackberries, herbs, flowers, and black pepper on the nose. Its creamy, juicy texture and ripe tannins give off a warm feeling as it hits the taste buds. A superb complement to barbecued meats, mushroom dishes, and fullflavour cheese.

Saperavi is an ancient grape variety native to Georgia, influenced by the nearby Caucasus Mountain climate – mild temperatures during the day and cool nights keep the vines and grapes consistently good throughout the dry harvest.

Using grapes picked from vines averaging 30-years-old, the final cuvee is a blend of Saperavi ageing processes – 50% maturing in stainless steel, 25% in wooden vats, 18% in American oak barrels, and 7% in the traditional Qvevri clay vessels.

After 12 further months of ageing in the bottle, the resulting wine is a complex and full-bodied masterpiece.
