While delivering the welcoming plum, blackberry, and dark fruit flavors Saperavi is 
famed for, this wine from the Akhasheni appellation shows an inky almost 
opaque dark red color. Semi-sweet, but even with some refreshing acidity it 
offers a powerful punch.

Askaneli’s Akhasheni Saperavi matches well with grilled red meat, stews, and fullflavour cheeses.

Askaneli is a name steeped in Georgian wine history. The family started wine 
production some 150 years ago in the village of Askana in Guria, where the 
family’s old cellar still sits.
